Banned Books Week

ThursdayBram designed this banner and offered it up to everyone and anyone who wants to use it. Thanks!

I'm sure I've read books classified as "banned", but I don't know that I could name one. And even if I found a banned book that I haven't read, it would only cause me to get a copy, post haste.

If you create it, and then ban it, people will go out of their way to GET IT!

Even "To Kill A Mockingbird" has been banned in some school districts. Plenty of award-winning and otherwise amazing books get censored regularly!

People who say, much less work toward the banning of a book are not logically minded enough to realize they are shooting themselves in the foot. The passion and diligence wasted could be used to raise our children to be independent thinkers, with the intelligence to see things for what they are, regardless of the manner in which people attempt to twist the truth.
